Addressing your mental health needs from the convenience
of your residence or from the respite of my office
Emerging from this pandemic can be a time of re-evaluation and uncertainty. Know mental health is still a priority, and it's important more than ever to stay connected to yourself and others. I will help you navigate your feelings and build a foundation of resilience
either in person or in remotely.
I am a NY state licensed and nationally board certified mental health art therapist. My expertise encompasses 10 years of counseling diverse populations of various age groups, different races/ethnicities,
socio-economic statuses, gender and sexual orientations, religious affiliations, and disabilities. I work with individuals to improve their mental health and wellness, by using a client-centered approach,
which acknowledges the social, cultural,
and political spectrums influencing their lives.
By providing a safe space for the Client to engage, I encourage you to overcome inhibitions in order to let the genuine self-reflection begin. Each person I have encountered has a story to tell, and I believe, the experiences which have shaped your story deserve to be told.
My client-centered approach includes options for traditional clinical practices as well as expressive art therapy interventions.
Both can be therapeutic outlets offering healing for physical, emotional, and spiritual distress. You should have choices in your own healing. My client-centered approach is uniquely tailored to help Clients heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths.
No one should feel alone. So why should you? Whether you feel your healing can begin here or elsewhere, I will assist you in finding the care coordination which will accompany you on your journey of rediscovery.
Depression and anxiety are two of the most common and uncomfortable emotions people experience. Symptoms include sadness, fear, loss of interest, hopelessness, and low self-esteem. Understandably, depression and anxiety can impair one's daily functioning. Through therapy, I am able to help you reclaim control over your life and seize your path to maximum potential.
I am certified in Thanatology, the study of grief and loss. Grief and loss are very personal. Not everyone grieves in the same manner. Through therapy, I can help you cope with grief and mourning, whether it's following the death of loved ones, or encompassing of other major life changes that trigger grief (e.g.: divorce, job loss, social distancing).
Individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic situations. Loss of self-worth, fear, and anger are just a few emotions that can linger within post-traumatic situations. You are still a whole person despite the void you may feel. I will provide a therapeutic outlet to help you navigate the complexities of these situations with a sensitivity and pace that will allow you to safely explore ways to live life more comfortably.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to people who are looking to strengthen their understanding, communication, and emotional connection with others. Therapy sessions are held collaboratively
and provide a space to discuss challenges and create solutions
to form healthier relationships.
"This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor."
